Turn YouTube Restricted Mode on or off

Turning on YouTube Restricted Mode lets you hide songs and videos that may contain inappropriate content. 

Turn YouTube Restricted Mode on or off

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi as your Google Home device.
  2. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  3. In the top left corner of the app's Home screen, tap Menu Menu.
  4. Verify that the Google Account listed is the one linked to Google Home.  To switch accounts, click the triangle next to the account name and email address.
  5. Tap More settings. 
  6. Under "Devices," tap the Google Home device.
  7. Under "YouTube Restricted Mode,"
    1. To block restricted content, turn it onOn. 
    2. To allow restricted content, turn it off Off.
